The five categories
| Category | What it means |
|---|---|
| Productive | Time spent on work-related activities |
| Neutral | Time on activities that are neither clearly productive nor unproductive |
| Unreviewed | Time that is still awaiting categorization review |
| Unproductive | Time spent on non-work activities |
| Idle | Time with no detected activity |
Automatic idle detection
If no activity is detected for more than 2 minutes, that time is automatically recorded as Idle. Keep the timer off when you step away so idle time doesn't build up.

You don't have to classify every website or app yourself. Insightful categorizes websites and applications automatically.
