Bootcamp
Once you've accepted a project invitation, most projects begin with a bootcamp: a paid training period where you learn the project's guidelines and show you can do the work to the required standard.
What bootcamp is
Bootcamp sits between joining a project and working on it for real. During bootcamp you typically:
- Learn the project's task guidelines and quality requirements
- Complete training tasks that are reviewed by the project team
- Get familiar with the project's tools (see Working in production)
While you're in bootcamp, your project shows a Bootcamp badge on the Projects page.
When bootcamp starts
The project's detail page shows your bootcamp start date once it's set — open Projects, select your project, and look under Project overview (for example, "Bootcamp started Jan 15"). The project team will also share schedule details by email or in the project's Discord channel.
How you're evaluated
Your bootcamp work is scored by the project team against the project's quality bar. The exact criteria and passing threshold vary by project, and the project's training materials explain them.
If you pass
You move to Production and start working on real project tasks, with a role assigned (such as annotator or QA). See Working in production.
If you don't pass
Not passing bootcamp means you're offboarded from that specific project.
It's per projectNot passing does not remove you from the platform. You remain eligible for other projects and can be invited to new ones that match your profile.

What happens next
Keep an eye on your project's Discord channel and your email for training schedules and feedback. Once the team confirms you've passed, your project stage changes to Production and you can begin working on real tasks.
