AI Interview
We use an AI interviewer to do initial screening for all our roles. The interview is in the form of a video call and takes approximately 15 minutes. You can start the interview immediately after applyin, or later at a convenient time.
How to start the interview
From the dashboard banner
If you entered a job id in the application form you will be prompted to complete the interview by a banner in the top of your dashboard. Click Start Interview and you will be redirected to our interview poral
From the list of roles
In the dashboard you can find a list of all our currently open positions. You can read more about each role by clicking on the role title in the job card, and you can start an interview for any role you are interested in by pressing Start
What to expect
After you press start interview you will be redirected to our interview platform.
Before you start:
- Choose a quiet environment Backgound noise makes it harder for the AI to hear you clearly
- Use headphones: This often reduces echo and background noise.
- Check your connection: If your connection is unstable it might be hard to hear the interviewer
During the interview
The interview will start with one background question before it moves on to questions related the skills required for the job. The interviewer will wait approximately 5-6 seconds after you stopped speaking before it starts. This is to ensure it does not interrupt you before you finish your answer.
Do not use any external sources of information when conducting the interview such as google or ai assistants. All interviews are subject to review and breaking this rule will result in disqualification of your application.
We are aware that many domains are very broad and that your expertise might be a specific subdomain. If you do not know the answer to a specific question, please say so and the interviewer should move on to another topic.
Track Interview Status
After completing the interview you can access your interview results in the My Interviews tab in the sidebar on sme.careeers/dashboard
In this tab you can see all the roles you have interviewed for and the status of the interview. The status can be one of the following
- Under Review. This means that we are currently reviewing your interview. You should recieve your results within 1-2 business day
- Incomplete. This status means that there either was a technical error during the interview or that the interview was interrupted early. If you see this status, please take the interview again.
- Passed. This means that you passed the interview stage. If your role requires an exam that will also be indicated in this tab.
- Not Selected. This means that you unfortunately did not pass this interview this time. You have the opportunity to retake the interview from the Dashboard or apply for other roles again in the future.
Retake policy
You are allowed to take an interview up to 3 times for each role.
What counts as an attempt
An attempt is only counted towards the retake limit if the status is one of Under Review, Passed, or Not Selected. If an interview attempt has the status Incomplete, it will not be counted towards the limit.
An interview is marked as Incomplete if you did not complete at least 3 questions.
How to retake an interview
If you are eligible for another attempt, follow these steps:
-
Go to My Interviews
- Click My Interviews from the left menu.
- Locate the role you want to re-take.

Passing an interview is not a guarantee to be matched with a project. For example, a project might have specific country and educational requirements, or already be fully staffed by the time your interview is completed. In this case you will be added to our network and we will reach out once a suitable project becomes available
