Read this after you've signed up and verified your email — it covers your legal details, your partner agreement, and payment (Deel) setup.
Once you've signed up and verified your email, the next steps are your legal details, your partner agreement, and payment (Deel) setup.
Fill in your legal and contact details
In the partner portal, open Settings:
- On the Profile tab, complete your Company profile (or Contractor profile if you partner as an individual): legal details and legal address, meaning street address, address line 2, city, state/region, postal code, and country. These are used on contracts, invoices, and the partner records SME keeps.
- On the Primary Contact tab, add the first name, last name, email, and phone of your main contact. If the contact address is the same as your legal address, you can mark it as such instead of retyping it.
Sign your partner agreement
How you sign depends on your partner type:
You sign your agreement via DocuSign. This is arranged directly with the SME team, and you'll receive the document by email. You won't see an onboarding tab in your settings, which is expected.
You're onboarded through Deel, and handle it self-service in the portal (below).
Deel setup (individual contractors)
Deel is the platform we use to manage contractor agreements and identity verification.
- In Settings, open the Onboarding tab.
- Click Request contract. This initiates your Deel contract.
- Deel sends a registration email to the address you registered with us. If you can't find it, check your spam or promotions folder.
- Follow Deel's instructions to review and sign your agreement and complete identity (KYC) verification.
Once requested, the Onboarding tab shows your Deel details read-only:
- Is Deel Active: whether your Deel registration is active.
- KYC status: the state of your identity verification. Verification by Deel may take up to one business day.
- Contract ID and Deel ID: your references with Deel.
- Onboarding Sent Date: when the Deel registration email was sent.
KYC still not verified after 24 hours?
Make sure all required documents were submitted, then contact Deel directly for further assistance.
A setup progress bar on the tab shows whether this step is complete.
What happens next
Once your agreement is signed (and, for contractors, Deel KYC is approved), you're fully set up to earn. Get your referral link and start sharing: Your referral code.
