Earnings and payouts

Read this to understand how your commissions accrue, what the Earnings page shows, and how you get paid.

This covers how your commissions accrue, what the Earnings page shows, and how you get paid.

How you earn

Your earnings come from your referred candidates:

  • Commissions: a share of what your referred candidates earn while working in the SME network. Your agreed commission percentage is shown read-only in Settings → Profile under "Commission rate". Contact SME if you believe it's incorrect.
  • Onboarding bonuses: recorded when referred candidates hit onboarding milestones.

Commission entries are recorded per candidate as their work earnings are processed (typically aggregated weekly), so expect entries to appear on a rolling basis rather than instantly.

The Earnings page

Open Earnings in the partner portal. At the top, two summary cards show:

  • Current Month Earning: the total for this month, with the number of payments it comprises.
  • Total Earnings: your all-time total and payment count.

Below is the earnings table with these columns:

Person / EmailThe referred candidate the entry relates to
TypeThe kind of earning (e.g. commission, bonus)
Candidate earningWhat the candidate earned in that period

You can search by candidate name or email and filter by date range. Until your first entry is recorded you'll see: "Commissions and onboarding bonuses from your referred candidates will appear here once they are recorded."

Getting paid

Payouts are made through your contracting setup:

  • Individual contractors are paid via Deel, using the contract you set up during onboarding. Your Deel KYC must be approved before payments can flow, so check Settings → Onboarding if you're unsure.
  • Companies are paid under the terms of their signed partner agreement.
📘

Your agreement defines the schedule

The exact payout schedule and thresholds are defined in your partner agreement. Treat it as the source of truth.

If an expected payment hasn't arrived, first confirm your Deel status is active and KYC approved, then contact SME support.

What happens next

Keep an eye on the monthly breakdowns to see which referrals are producing. If a candidate you referred is working but you see no entries for them after a full cycle, contact SME support with the candidate's email so attribution can be checked.
