Create your SME Careers account
Create your SME Careers account using email and password to be able to apply
Your SME Careers account is how you apply to join the network, track your application status, and access onboarding materials once you're invited. This page walks you through creating the account and verifying your email address.
The full process takes about two minutes.
Before you start
Have the following ready:
- A working email address you check regularly — this is where we'll send your verification code, application updates, and onboarding invitation.
- A password you haven't used on other sites.
Step 1: Start your application
- Go to sme.careers.
- Click Apply Now.
- Select Subject Matter Expert as your role.
Choosing the right account type: You'll see two options on this screen — Subject Matter Expert and Network Referrer. Choose Subject Matter Expert if you want to work on projects yourself. Network Referrer is an affiliate account for people who want to refer others to the network and earn a commission, but it does not give you access to projects. The two account types are separate and cannot be combined later, so make sure to pick the one that matches what you want to do.
Step 2: Create your account
- Enter your email address.
- Choose a password.
- Click Create account.
We'll send a 6-digit verification code to the email address you provided.
Step 3: Verify your email
- Open the email from SME Careers and copy the 6-digit code.
- Return to the SME Careers tab and enter the code.
- Click Verify Email.
If the email doesn't arrive within a minute or two, check your spam or junk folder. If it's still missing, click Resend Code to send a new one.
Step 4: Sign in
Once your email is verified, sign in with your email address and password to continue your application.
What happens next
After signing in, you'll be taken to the application form. Continue to the next page to learn what to expect from the application and AI interview.
